The company Ergodomisi of Civil Engineer Pavlidis Nikolaou is a company based in the city of Alexandroupolis and specializes in issuing Energy Performance Certificates (PEA). According to the Energy Performance of Buildings Regulation (K.EN.A.K.), the Energy Performance Certificate P.E.A. of buildings provides important information on the energy performance of a building.

The PEA represents the energy rating of the building, providing important information on the energy consumption of the building. Among the elements included in the PEA are the general elements of the building, the estimated annual total primary energy consumption of the reference building and the building under consideration, the annual energy consumption by energy source and end use, the actual annual total final energy consumption, the estimated and actual annual carbon dioxide emissions, as well as recommendations to improve the building's energy efficiency.

According to the law, every notary who draws up a contract of sale of real estate is required to mention the protocol number of the PEA in the contract and to provide an official copy of the PEA. Also, in each property lease agreement, the protocol number of the PEA must be filled in the corresponding fields of the electronic lease declarations submitted from September 2015 onwards, in accordance with article 58, paragraph 3, of Law 4342/2015.

If the PEA is issued in the context of programs for the domestic sector financed by national and/or Community resources, the Energy Inspector's recommendations are based, as a matter of priority, on the eligible interventions envisaged each time.

The Energy Performance Certificate is valid for ten years, unless the building is radically renovated before the end of the decade. In this case, the PEA expires upon completion of the renovation work and a new PEA is required to be issued for the renovated building.
